Toxic vs. Green Cleaning Products

Everyone can benefit from green cleaning. To "clean green" is to clean without using harsh and toxic cleaning products. To the much surprise of many, you can receive the same results from green products as you can toxic products. I've met clients who believe it isn't clean unless it has a strong bleach smell. What some people don't realize is that bleach contains components that can trigger allergies in people.

Toxic cleaning products contain ingredients that can cause cancer, skin irritants and problems with your respiratory system. Some of these products may be in your cabinet right now. They are there at the risk of a child drinking them. Even small amounts of toxic cleaning chemicals can and do build up in your system, with the potential to cause heart and lung conditions, including cancers.

Baking soda and lemon juice are great all natural bleaching agents. Baking Soda can be used to clean cast iron cookware, remove scratches from counter tops, deodorize carpet, remove carpet stains, buff out furniture stains, remove crayon marks from walls, unclog a drain, used as a laundry fabric softener, soft scrub cleaner and toilet bowl cleaner.

Vinegar is good for disinfecting, removing mildew in the bathroom, cleaning chrome and stainless steel surfaces, shine silver, give new life to old rugs, remove carpet stains, remove water rings on furniture, disinfect kitchen cutting boards, clean glass and mirrors to name a few.

If you haven't tried green cleaning you should it's refreshing and safe for all, and if your looking for a cleaning service make sure they're green!
