Link Between Autism and Toxic Cleaning Products

SEATTLE — A study that suggests a connection between children spending more time indoors and autism rates states that one factor could be children's exposure to indoor pollutants like harsh cleaning chemicals, according to CTV.com.

The study, published in the November issue of Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, found that autism is more prevalent in California, Oregon and Washington counties that received heavy rainfall, keeping children inside, than in counties that receive less rain, the story stated.
Autism rates have increased dramatically in the last 30 years, from about 1 in 2,500 children to 1 in 150 children, the story noted.

Study authors cautioned that they found no direct link between environmental factors and autism, and called for more research to see if there is an "autism trigger," the story added.

Nude Maid Steals $40k

TAMPA, FL — In a cautionary tale for those who seek exotic house-cleaning services over the Internet, a nude maid stole $40,000 worth of jewelry Friday from a home in Cheval, Tampa's premier gated community, according to the St. Petersburg Times.

The 20-something maid was paid $100 an hour to clean the four-bedroom, three-bath house in the buff while the 50-year-old man watched, but evidently not closely enough, the story stated.

After the man's wife returned home from a vacation and discovered her jewelry missing, the man told Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies that he had left the maid alone in the bedroom for a "short while," the story noted.

What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy infused cleaning products; make cleaning exciting and safe. Instead of inhaling toxic fumes and getting sick, aromatherapy cleaning products make cleaning refreshing. I don’t know about you but I’ve felt like passing out while trying to clean a number of times while using toxic cleaning products. I’m sure most of us have mixed cleaning products together thinking it will clean up the dirt better, only to realize we were potentially killing ourselves and damaging our lungs.

Aromatherapy is believed to offer both psychological and physical benefits, not only does the aroma of the natural essential oils stimulate the brain to trigger a reaction, but the natural components of the essential oils are drawn into the lungs and can also supply physical benefit.

Most commonly used essential oils

Tea Tree oil is best known for its germ fighting abilities as well as its strong scent. It can be used for fighting athlete’s foot, ring worm, and other infectious skin agents. It’s excellent for household disinfecting, and is used in many ready made natural cleansers.

Lavender can be used to as a natural anti-fungal and anti-biotic agent. It can also be applied directly to the skin to help heal and protect minor wounds. A few drops can be added to massage oil and rubbed onto the skin for relaxation and healing. Lavender is famous for its delightful smell and calming effects.

So the next time you get upset get a bottle of lavender scented all purpose cleaner, clean your house and calm down at the same time!

Chamomile not only smells great it has anti-inflammatory properties, and eases spasm and discomfort in the digestive tract. Although Chamomile is a flowering plant in the daisy family and it’s used medicinally, it makes cleaning products smell wonderful.

Glycerin has natural stain removing capabilities. It makes the stain so slippery that it has to rinse itself out.
